Yusra is a personal worship companion. Your worship is between you and Allah — this policy explains exactly what the app stores, where, and why. We collect the minimum needed to make the app work, and nothing more.
If you create an account, the following syncs securely so streaks and circles can work:
Cloud data is hosted with Supabase, a secure database provider. In circles, friends only ever see a ✓ or a dash for the day — never your specific practices, counts, or notes.
You can use Yusra as a guest with no account. In guest mode, nothing is sent to any account — your data lives only on your device. Social features (circles, friends) require an account.
If you allow it, your location is used for one purpose only: calculating accurate prayer times and the Islamic (Hijri) date for where you are. To do this, your approximate coordinates are sent to the AlAdhan prayer times API (aladhan.com). Your location is never stored on our servers, never shared with other users, and never used for advertising. You can instead simply type a city name — then no device location is used at all.
You can permanently delete your account at any time inside the app: Profile → Delete Account. This immediately and permanently erases your account, profile, completion history, friendships, circles you created, and all data stored on your device. This cannot be undone.
Yusra is suitable for all ages and collects the same minimal data from everyone. We do not knowingly collect additional information from children.
